Nando's Metrocentre Newcastle has reopened following our full rip out and refurbishment.
Nando's requested our assistance with this project at short notice, due to unforeseen circumstances, leaving us only three weeks to cost, value engineer and place orders in time for the fixed start date that was already announced to the business so had to be met. The project was on site for 5.5 weeks and was kept to programme throughout. It was completed and handed back to the client on time & to a high standard that both Nando's and the Centre Management team were delighted with.
Our works within the 5.5 weeks included; Strip out, new wall finish features in various materials including concrete render, ceramic tiles, cork and timber. As much timber was reused for some new features from the original restaurant, upholding Nando's & DRC’s commitment to sustainability. New ceramic and timber flooring was laid throughout the restaurant with new ceramic flooring in all customer toilets.
Joinery items and finishes carried out within the timescales included;
New condiment units with marble finishes
Timber cladded ceiling rafts
Artistic decoration works to both ceiling rafts and shopfront fascia
Architectural metal screens
Servery area finishes to counter & new curved bulkhead
Booth seating, chairs, tables
A full lighting scheme
While the kitchen saw;
All cookline equipment being stripped out, cleaned and reinstalled
New quarry tiling to the floor
Whiterock being installed to the walls
New suspended ceilings throughout.
Externally we retained and refurbished existing planters with the uplift of new metal screens and a seating to add to the overall effect of the transformed restaurant.
